Questions, answered

The things renovators, builders and specifiers ask us most, without the jargon.

Frequently asked questions

Do you have a showroom?

We do not run a traditional showroom. Instead we offer a mobile selection service: a phone consultation first, then we bring a curated range to your home, site or studio, so you see the tiles in your own light.

How does a consultation work?

We start with a phone call about your project, timeline, number of spaces and budget, and ask for a few inspiration images. We then curate a short list and meet you in person with samples. It is obligation-free.

Can I get samples?

Yes. Request samples of the ranges you are considering. We confirm availability, and any sample charge for larger pieces, before sending.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver across Sydney and regional NSW, to your door or direct to site, and can quote interstate deliveries on request. Delivery is priced on your quote based on quantity, weight and location.

What are lead times like?

Stocked lines are usually available quickly. Indent and custom orders depend on the maker and shipping schedule. Every quote confirms availability and lead time for your exact quantities before you commit.

What is the difference between porcelain and ceramic?

Porcelain is denser and absorbs less water, so it suits floors, outdoor areas and heavy traffic. Ceramic is lighter and easier to cut, ideal for walls and splashbacks. See our full guide.

How do slip ratings work?

Floor tiles are rated from P0 to P5 using the wet pendulum test. Wet internal areas typically need P3 and outdoor areas P4 to P5. We match the rating to the area and supply the test certificate. More in our slip ratings guide.

How much extra tile should I order?

Around 10% for a straight lay and 15% or more for diagonal and herringbone patterns. We calculate quantities with you when quoting.

What can I use instead of engineered stone?

Porcelain slabs are the most common alternative for benchtops, along with natural stone. See what the engineered stone ban means.

Do you work with architects, builders and tilers?

Yes. Professionals get specifications, testing data, CAD files, samples, project pricing and staged deliveries. Visit professional services.

Do you supply bathroomware and PC items?

Yes. We supply tapware, basins, vanities and other PC items for bathrooms and kitchens, selected alongside your tiles so finishes match.

How do you approach sustainability?

We avoid green buzzwords. Where a product has an environmental certification or product declaration, we will give you the document; where it does not, we will tell you. We favour makers with responsible manufacturing and long-term relationships.
